Summary
| Description |
English: Liliuokalani as Princess Regent of Hawaii. The chair in the background is the throne of Kamehameha III from the original Iolani Palace. Commissioned by Kamehameha III and made in 1847 by a local German cabinet maker Christian LaFrenz, out of koa wood. It was passed down to each successive monarch until 1883 when Kalākaua replaced it with the two thrones used in his and Kapiolani’s coronation in current throne room and moved the original to the Gold Room of the Iolani Palace.
