Description
English: A historical record of the Liverpool Baker and Dawson family lineage held in the Merseyside Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum of Liverpool. The booklet was compiled by Jack S. Phillips, 7th generation descendant of Lord Mayor of Liverpool (1795-1796) Peter Baker. The booklet is written entirely by hand, and includes accounts of Baker's exploits, which saw his rise to political power through privateering, and his extensive involvement in the Liverpool slave trade.
