Summary

Description
English: Title page of the second volume of Giacomo Leopardi’s Opere (“Works”) which was printed by Saverio Starita in Naples (1835). This volume contains Leopardi’s Operette morali, first part. The second part of the Operette never appeared in this edition, because the Bourbonian censors prohibited the complete edition and confiscated the volumes already printed. Therefore the volume shown here is rather rare today. This was the last edition of Leopardi’s works which appeared during his lifetime. The first volume contains the Canti.
