Le pavillon de Flore, musée du LouvreLe premier pavillon (gros pavillon de la rivière) fut construit de 1607 à 1609 par l'architecte Jacques II Androuet du Cerceau,à l'intersection de la Grande Galerie et du Palais des Tuileries. Il doit son nom au"ballet de Flore"de Lully et Benserade qui y fut représenté en 1669. Il fut occupé par des appartements de fonction ou de réception, jusqu'à sa reconstruction par l'architecte Lefuel de 1861à 1865 en raison de son état de vétusté.Sur la façade, en haut,"la France impériale"de Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux.Dans le médaillon, en -dessous, Flore par Pierre-Jules Cavelier.Il abrite aujourd'hui une partie des ateliers de restauration du centre de recherche et de restauration des musées de France.
