CANONS DU JUSTE
Ces deux canons proviennent du vaisseau Le Juste.
Ce navire a participé à la bataille navale des Cardinaux le 20 novembre 1759.
Trés endommagé dans la nuit qui a suivi le combat, il a tenté de rejoindre le
port de Saint Nazaire pour être réparé, mais a coulé au large de la pointe de
Chemoulin quelques miles avant d'atteindre Saint Nazaire.
C'est en décembre 1968 qu ce navire a été retrouvé au cours d'opérations
d'élargissement du chenal d'entrée en Loire.
Le JUSTE était armé avec 630 hommes et 70 canons dont :
26 canons de XXXVI
28 canons de XVIII
16 canons de VIII
Capitaine de Vaisseau : Sint Allouarn l'ainé
Second : Rosmadec de Saint Allouarn
7 à 12 officiers
Construit à Rochefort en 1724 par les chantiers Geslain
Ces canons sont prétés par la maiie d'ARZAL (Morbihan) devant laquelle ils
sont exposés<régulièrement.

- Poids : 2 tonnes
- Longueur : 3,10
- Diamètre maximum : 50 cm
Nota : En période de conflit 15 personnes étaient nécessaires pour
" s'occuper " d'un canon de 36 (poids 4,5 tonnes)
