Português: Lapa do Santo - Sepultamento 18 - Ossos do crânio. A Lapa do Santo é um sítio arqueológico localizado na região de Lagoa Santa em Minas Gerais. Apresenta um rico registro da cultura material dos grupos que habitaram o Brasil central durante Holoceno Inicial, Médio e Final. Dezenas de sepultamentos humanos foram encontrados na Lapa do Santo. O Sepultamento 18 era composto pelos ossos do crânio e mandíbula de uma criança e das diáfises amputadas de ossos longos de um indivíduo adulto. A mandíbula de criança teve os dentes intencionalmente removidos e dois oríficios perfurados nos processos laterais (coracóides). O tamanho dos ossos do crânio é compatível com o da mandíbula. Entretanto, os fragmentos de crânio estavam dispersos a alguns centímetros e não articulados com a mandíbula. |
