English: The patriotic celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Belgian independence, Parc du Cinquantenaire (Brussels), 16 August 1880. — Reading of the speech to the King before the parade of flags. We can see King Leopold II and Queen Marie-Henriette in the center. — There is a painting of this event, painted in 1890 by Camille Van Camp entitled “Patriotic Celebration of the Fiftieth anniversary of the Belgian Independence” (House of Representatives, Brussels).
Français : La fête patriotique du cinquantenaire de l’indépendance belge, Parc du Cinquantenaire (Bruxelles), le 16 août 1880. — On aperçoit le roi Léopold II et la reine Marie-Henriette au centre. — Il existe une peinture représentant cet événement, peinte en 1890 par Camille Van Camp et intitulée « Fête patriotique du cinquantenaire de l’indépendance belge » (Chambre des Représentants, Bruxelles).
