English: STIIRLING WAS ONE OF WASHINGTON’S MOST CAPABLE AND TRUSTED GENERALS. STIRLING LIVED HERE FROM 1763 UNTIL 1779. HIS HOME STOOD UNTIL 1920 WHEN IT WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE. TWO OUTBUILDINGS PROBABLY BUILT AROUND 1840 BY THE BARKALOW FAMILY. THIS ONE WAS POSSIBLY THE FARM OFFICE THOUGHT TO BE ON FOUNDATIONS OF LORD STIRLING'S BUILDING
THESE BUILDINGS CAN BE DIFFICULT TO FIND BECAUSE THEY ARE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY TO THE REAR OF THE HOUSE WHICH STANDS ON STIRLING'S MANOR HOUSE. HOWEVER IF YOU GO TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER JUST DOWN THE ROAD AND SPEAK WITH THE HISTORIAN YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET PERMISSION TO VISIT THEM AS I WAS ABLE TO DO.
