Summary

Description

Pierce Brosnan

On Monday, March 13, 2017, the LBJ Presidential Library presented a preview and discussion of the new AMC television series The Son. Lead actor Pierce Brosnan, co-creator and executive producer Philipp Meyer, and showrunner and executive producer Kevin Murphy joined former LBJ Library Director Mark Updegrove for a conversation that followed the screening in the LBJ Auditorium. The AMC series, based on Meyer’s novel of the same name, is a sweeping historical drama covering 150 years and a multi-generational Texas family making its way through the violent frontier of Comanche raids, cattle empires and the boom and bust of oil.
