A related drawing of this view is held in the Public Record Office, London. It is a watercolour, drawn by Edward E Morgan, acting Lieutenant aboard H. M. S. Hazard. See file print, negative number 106858 1/2. Morgan's version was lithographed for Great Britain. Parliamentary Papers. Papers Relative to New Zealand. Correspondence on the attack at the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, to illustrate a letter from Governor Fitzroy to Lord Stanley dated 26 March 1845.
