EE notch
signals to the body the aperture has been set properly for shutter-priority autoexposure
Widest aperture
indicates the fully-open aperture of the lens, allowing the in-body light meter to compute the correct exposure when using the automatic diaphragm
Aperture
mechanical linkage to diaphragm control mechanism, held open during focusing and viewing, then stopped down to selected aperture during exposure
Locking notch
engages a plunger to lock the lens in place on the body
