File information
Description

Kermit Roosevelt, son of Theodore Roosevelt sits under a tree during his expedition with his father down the River of Doubt in 1913. During that trip, he grew a beard and was almost drowned. His hard work, skill with handling ropes and tender care for his father who was sick with Malaria and an infection, meant the difference between its success and failure and between his father's life and death.
