English: Kalumpit (Terminalia microcarpa) is one of our underutilized and lesser-known native fruits. They are oval in shape, dark violet in color, and fleshy. They can be eaten raw or made into preserves or wine. In terms of taste, they are comparable to other berry-type fruits such as blueberries. The town of Calumpit in Bulacan is named after this fruit.
