Summary

Description
English: Military propaganda postcard of the German Empire, litho, graphic, colored from the World War I "In Memory of the World War 1914/15 Kaiser Wilhelm II in Lyck". Wounded soldiers cheer to the German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II, who is in a car. The city is partially destroyed. A euphemistic representation of the war. Elk (now Ełk) is located in East Prussia until 1945, a German city and is now Polish. The card was on 10/15/1915 as field post from Pula (at thist time part of the Austro-Hungarian Littoral, now Croatia) to Obermillstatt in Carinthia sent. The card is from a recruit who worked on the SMS Custoza, a training ship for cadets (auxiliary boat) as a carpenter.
