Jewan Abdi is a journalist, shoot-edit and an investigative producer currently working for the BBC. He's conducted most of his work in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, focusing on the impact of Middle East conflicts and the war against the Islamic State. As well as Ukraine-Russian war, ISIS in the Philippines, Western Sahara conflict and more. Among the several recognitions he's received so far he counts two Emmy awards, New York festivals awards and[1] a One World Award and a Children in Conflict.
