Fair use rationale for Jerome Tiger

[edit]

The image "Jerome_Tiger_painting" is an example of work by a historically significant artist. The image used in this article provides an example of Tiger's unique adaptation of the Bacone school, "flatstyle" form of early 20th century intertribal painting into his contemporary style with emphasis on the human form. The center of the painting is represented with the frame removed. The resolution is extremely low, so commercial reproductions of the work could not be made from this image. Free images are not available. This image is not replaceable and is necessary to understand this painter's personal style and technique. -Uyvsdi (talk) 19:03, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Uyvsdi
