Description
English: The Thomas Jefferson Memorial was commemorated with a 10-cent regular stamp issued on December 14, 1973. The stamp features the introductory phrase to the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths…” The neoclassical building was dedicated to the third president of the United States in 1943.
