Description
English: Photograph shows destruction caused by a typhoon coming ashore in Japan, possibly in 1911. (Source: The Chicago Daily Tribune, Aug. 14, 1911, reported a tidal wave and typhoon on July 26 that wrecked a Japanese torpedo boat (shown in this series), swept ashore at Tokyo.) Possible date based on 1911 appearing in negatives with nearby call numbers and the newspaper article from 1911.
