The government of Cuauhtémoc borough (Delegación Cuauhtémoc) was hiring artists to paint the vehicle periodically, and the designs changed every few months during the 3-year period in which this relatively modern trolleybus was at this location, from circa late 2010 or early 2011 to 2014. Another, much older trolleybus that originally operated in Japan was located at the opposite end of Plaza Cabrera during a similar timeframe and was also used for public art.
