Description
English: Janez Lenarčič, European Commissioner for Crisis Management, went to Bangladesh to see the situation on the ground in the context of the worsening humanitarian crisis affecting Rohingya people. In the margins of his visit, he announced an additional €12 million in humanitarian aid funding for the Rohingya in Bangladesh and Myanmar. He also met with high-level representatives of the government as well as representatives of international community, including UN agencies and NGOs. Zaheed Farooque, Bangladeshi State Minister for Water Resources, on the right, and Janez Lenarčič, on the left.
