Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) The pictures illustrates the main promotion for the artist's single, his first since privately leaving the Beatles. It is widely viewed as the public launch of his new shorn-haired image – an image that was widely commented on after Lennon and Yoko Ono had undertaken a campaign for world peace in which their hair (together with placards saying "Grow your hair for peace") was synonymous with their message and ideology.
