English: This is the inside view of the Amakama wooden cave, which is a a 42 meters living tree with a hollow inside that is capable of accommodating up to 10 adults at a time. Located in Amakama community, in Umuahia, Abia State Nigeria, it is designated as heritage site and tourist center by the state government. The tree was used as a safe haven in the community during the inter-tribal wars and the slave trade era. Location: Amakama Community, Umuahia south Local Government Area, of Abia State Nigeria.
