Description
English: Squid hatchlings of Idiosepius pygmaeus, ca. 2 mm long. Fixed in gluteraldehyde, stored in cacodylate buffer, and stained with phosphotungstic acid (PTA) (left) and Lugol's iodine (IKI) (right). The IKI staining required less than one hour. Voxel size 4.0 μm (left) and 4.4 μm (right).
