The mosque is located in old Van, which was destroyed in 1915. At the time of this photo, the mosque was undergoing a reconstruction process. Older pictures of the site show only the domed mosque and most of its minaret still standing, with elements like the front portico missing, so the surrounding structures are all recently constructed. |
