DescriptionHuntingdon (North) Station geograph-2283573-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Up Newcastle express at Huntingdon (North) Station.
View northward, towards Peterborough and the North; ex-Great Northern ECML. Until 1976, when the station was rebuilt in advance of the electrification of the ECML, this was the only Up line and platform, making Huntingdon ('North' until 7/65) one of the several bottlenecks on the route. This Up express is headed by A4 Pacific No. 25 'Falcon' - totally ignored by the young chap reading a paper.
