Summary
DescriptionHow Uncle Eli Laughed Too Soon.jpg |
English: A comic strip titled ‘How Uncle Eli Laughed Too Soon’. From the newspaper comic strip series by L. Frank Baum and Walt McDougall ‘Queer Visitors from the Marvelous Land of Oz’ by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by Walt McDougall, following the misadventures of characters from the Land of Oz while they visit cities of the United States.
In this comic strip, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, Jack Pumpkinhead, and the Saw Horse touch a nest of hornets, unaware of what it is, despite the warnings of the Woggle-Bug. Uncle Eli, a farmer, laughs at them, even though they cannot get stung since they are not human. Instead, Uncle Eli runs away as he–who can get stung–is now being chased by the hornets. The comic strips of this series are all comics made of large illustrations and accompanied by a text story by L. Frank Baum. |
