- Source of data, published in March 2022 by the China Housing Data Institute: Revenues from land sales in major cities and house prices by city over the last 5 years (2017-2021).
- The master map for this chart was generated using QGIS. Cities, as well as the seven geographic regions of China, are divided according to official documents. In addition, the neighbouring countries graphic in the background was taken from data provided by sciencespo and further edited using Adobe illustrator editing software.
