English: Horwich Parkway railway station, Lancashire Opened in 1999 by British Rail on the Bolton-Preston line. View north west towards Blackrod and Preston, a few months after the line was electrified. For a view of the station some 8 years earlier, see SD6409 : Horwich Parkway railway station, Lancashire, 2010. The original Horwich station was on the end of a short branch line to the north east of here. It closed in 1966. |
