A contingent from Cebu City joyously partakes in the Sinulog Festival, where a participant gracefully carries the image of the Santo Niño (Holy Child) while engaging in a lively dance. The Sinulog Festival, a ritual prayer-dance, venerates the Señor Santo Niño, also known as the Child Jesus. According to legend, this revered image was presented as a baptismal gift by Ferdinand Magellan to Hara Amihan (Humanay) of Zebu (now Cebu) in April 1521.
