Summary

Description
English: A Merlin Tree HitchHiker spinning wheel. The pedal is visible at the bottom of the image. The drive wheel, flyer, and bobbin are at the upper right. This wheel was manufactured in Vermont by Merlin Tree and is an example of a friction-drive spinning wheel (i.e. it does not use a drive band, but instead drives the flyer via a rubber wheel in direct contact with the drive wheel).
