English: Hayne in the parish of Stowford, Devon. Derelict in 2004. Cherry and Pevsner spell it "Haine"; according to them it was built about 1810 and altered after 1864, a complete Gothic remodelling of a 16th c. house, a seat of the prominent Harris family.(Pevsner, Nikolaus & Cherry, Bridget, The Buildings of England: Devon, London, 2004, pp.465-6) Seen here from the lane between Hayne Cross and Stowford.
