Laine's Grocery Store (by 1981, an antique shop and residence) in Alviso, California. Established as the Tilden General Store in 1880's by Susan Ortney Tilden and her daughter Minerva. Last operated by her grandson, Willis Laine, from 1940 - 1960. Continued as an antique shop until abandoned after severe flooding in 1983. Photo taken in 1981 with a 35mm slide and scanned to computer, 2007, by the author, Gerald P. Hawkins. This reduced-size copy is released to public domain.
