English: according to adinkra.org, a traditional West African symbol (adinkra) with the meaning of gye nyame "except for God". Allegedly "ubiquitous in Ghana" and as such uncopyrightable (assuming it is "traditional" (although no date of origin seems to be stated) and counts as a "character"/"ideogram"). A variant of this symbol is found (in the top right corner) in File:Adinkra motifs Rattray 1927.jpg (R S Rattray, Religion & art in Ashanti, 1927)
Español: Símbolo "Gye nyame"
