GoldenGlobeRaceOct31.png (800 × 500 pixels, file size: 320 KB, MIME type: image/png)

Summary

The approximate positions of competitors in the 1968/69 Sunday Times Golden Globe Race as of October 31, 1968. This was the last day on which competitors could start racing; the first was June 1. It is notable that as Crowhurst and Carozzo were just starting, Knox-Johnston was already sailing past Australia. Ridgway and Blyth had already retired, and on this day Fougeron and King each made the decision to retire.
