Description
English: World War I Flying Ace Daniel Gerth (1891-1934) after being awarded the order Pour Le Meritè. Gerth, who continued to join the SA, was executed on July 1st 1934 by the SS during the National-Socialist Purge known as "Night of the Long Knives".
