DescriptionGaziantep Archaeological Museum 0380.jpg
English: Stele with a relief of the storm god Tysup, basalt, Late Hittite, 700-750 BC. He is holding an axe in the right hand, and a bundle of lightnings in the left.
Above the god a winged solar disc is depicted.
Publishing this picture in 2019 I am not certain where the object is now. The "old" Archaeological museum used to contain lots of objects, then started to expose the growing flood of mosaics from the Zeugma rescue excavations. During my last visit both museums existed, but the mosaics were in the new museum.
