English: Gateway to The College, Kirkoswald The college was for priests, founded in 1523 but closed at the Dissolution and bought by Henry Fetherstonhaugh of Southwaite in 1590. The front of the building was rebuilt in 1696 in a progressive style. This gateway is not medieval, but was built in 1848 in neo-Gothis style.
