Description This is the Gateway Bridge, which opened in Nashville in 2004 and crosses the Cumberland River. This is Nashville's first arch bridge. It carries the vehicular traffic which used to cross at the Shelby St. Bridge. According to the current plan of Nashville, Gateway Blvd. will one day be the best entrance into the city.
