Summary

Description
English: Figure 12. Laboratory constant-velocity hood (note the flow monitor on the sash column). The constant-velocity hood uses a control system to detect the sash position, face velocity and system pressure, and change the fan motor speed or other mechanism, such as mechanical dampers, to increase the air flow when the sash is raised and decrease it when the sash is lowered, thus maintaining a constant face velocity.
