Friendly, or perhaps just indifferent, this green sea turtle went about its business in the shallows at the Salt Pier on the southwestern shores of Bonaire while scuba divers swam past on their way to deeper water.
This is a young green sea turtle, on the world's list of endangered species. It is protected by law on Bonaire, where the nesting beaches are carefully maintained to help ensure the turtles' survival.
I was equipped with a single 160Ws strobe and a macro lens, hoping to find a frogfish under the pier... without luck...
