Description
English: The image is an illustration for the tale "Histoire de Fleur d'Epine" by Anthony Hamilton and was published in the book "Œuvres du comte Antoine Hamilton" published 1812 in Paris. Tarare (left) and Fleur d'Epine (right) at a stream surrounded by trees. Tarare pretends to heard two goats while playing a transverse flute. Fleur d'Epine listens while washing linen.
