«Прямоугольное полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее композицию герба Егорлыкского района в синем, красном и жёлтом цветах».

Геральдическое описание герба: «В пересечённом червлёном и лазоревом поле пояс, обременённый червлёным крестом с расширяющимися концами, и сопровождаемый вверху — тремя церковными главками (центральная повыше и позади) и внизу — скрещёнными перначом и булавой; все фигуры — золотые».
