Fair Use
[edit]This image, Fall of a Kingdom.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because the use of a single cover "to illustrate an article discussing the book in question" is allowed. Absent of an official "series cover," it logically follows that this single cover used in conjunction with its fellows to illustrate an article on the series to which they all belong is allowable.
Licensing
[edit]This image is of book cover(s), and the copyright for it is most likely owned either by the artist who created the cover(s) or the publisher of the book(s). It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of book covers
qualifies as fair use under the copyright law of the United States. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. | |
