Summary

Portrait of Friedrich Robert Helmert (*1843–†1917), a German geodesist, founder of physical geodesy. This portrait is taken from my private collection of portraits of great scientist. Helmert died in 1917, almost 90 years ago, and the picture itself is over 100 years old. The author is unknown.
