| Description | A U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat from fighter squadron VF-14 Tophatters in flight in 1975. VF-14 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1) aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 28 June 1975 to 27 January 1976. This was the first deployment of the F-14 Tomcat in the Atlantic (and Mediterranean Sea). |
