DescriptionExact trigonometric table for multiples of 3°.jpg
English: This is a table displaying the exact values of cosine and sine of angles which are multiples of 3°. Of course, this table can be continued to cover a larger range of angles than the displayed 45 degrees of the 1st octant, by using the properties of complementary angles. The tangent values can be deduced by calculating the ratio of sine and cosine. The values are expressed by means of reduced fractions, with an integer denominator (1, 2, 4 or 8), and a numerator based on sums and products of integers (1 or 2) or of the square roots of: (5 ± √5), (2 ± √3), 2, 3, 5, and 6.
