English: I den middelste Gang i Roeskilde Dom-Kirke paa en af Pillerne til Nordlige Side hænger denne mahlede Tavle, som er af Eeg, neden under Vaabenet, paa samme Tavle, er et Pergament indhæftet, hvorpaa sees Biskop Johannis Jacobi Levnets Beskrivelse kort forfattet med Munke Skrift, Tavlen var meget liden, derfor aftegnede ieg dem med et dobbelt større Proportions Maal, med elleres sædvanlig de fleste andre Monumenter ere blevne aftegnede af mig. S. Abildgaard. Det sædvanlige proportions Maal i mine Aftegninger er saaledes indrettet, at 1 Tomme Dansk Maal i Tegningen udgør 1 Fod eller en halv Alen paa monumentet selv, og 1 Linie i Tegningen giør 1 Tommers Længde paa monumentet. Paa den fortegnede Tavle, læses følgende Inscription skrevet paa Pergamentet med Munke Skrift, saaledes som den første Linned viiser i denne Afskrift. 25 x 38 cm.
