Español: En 1916 la intrépida activista de derechos humanos Emily Hobhouse viajó a Francia, luego a la Suiza neutral y de allí a Berlín, adonde fue a rendir visita al ministro de Exteriores alemán, al que había conocido antes de la guerra. Con él discutió las posibles condiciones de paz, y trajo a su vuelta algunas ideas sobre este particular en las que trató de interesar al gobierno británico.
