| Description |
English: Drighlington & Adwalton Station Situated at the South end of Moorside Road and Station Road, this station, which closed on the 1st January, 1962, was on the railway line between Bradford (Exchange) and Wakefield (Westgate) Stations. This line closed to passengers in July, 1966 and to goods in October of the same year, the line being lifted shortly afterwards. This station was also the junction for the line to Batley, Dewsbury (Central), Ossett and Wakefield (Westgate) stations and closed in September, 1964. The A650 Drighlington By-Pass now runs through the site of this station. |
