Summary

Description U.S. Navy Douglas R6D-1 Liftmaster (BuNo 128424, c/n 43207). This aircraft is today on display at National Museum of Naval Aviation, Pensacola, Forida (USA). In 1956 most U.S. Navy transport planes had to be transferred to the USAF Military Air Transport Service, leaving only 30 R6D with the Navy. These were redesignated C-118B in 1962.
